Hi, I’m Matt.

I've worked in IT since I was 18. Around 2010 I started training teams on new technology, at places like the BBC, NHS, Tesco, RBS and the MOD. Rooms full of people who didn't think of themselves as technical, and my job was to change that.

Then came video. I spent years helping businesses get on YouTube and built a video company along the way.

In 2025 I started building with AI myself. In a few months I'd gone from simple websites to fully working apps, including the Festival of AI website and the app our attendees use. No coding background, just plain English.

That's when it clicked. If I could do it, anyone could, with the right teacher. So that's what Practical AI is for: making AI practical for everyone.
